Natural Headache Remedies That Work Quickly - Erase Pain In Minutes

By Sean T Saunders

Pain around the face, forehead, or upper neck portion, is often referred to as a headache. The skin, nose, bone, ears, mouth, and eyes, are some of the pain-sensitive spots. Sometimes the pain could be felt around the jaws and teeth as well. The pain cannot be felt by the brain because it is not pain sensitive. Headaches are mainly attributable to the muscle contraction which relate to chewing muscles and in many cases due to stress or mental tension.

Medications are available for healing headaches, but you can actually cure the headache even without it. Relaxation can be a non-medical solution. An overstressed or overworked body can at times bring on headaches. You will get relief from headache by just lying down with closed eyes in a completely dark room. Other natural cures may be deep massages, using pressure points, light exercises, aromatherapy, an ice pack, a hot shower, a large glass of water or orange juice, and dietary improvements.

Headaches are very often instigated by body dehydration. Sipping a tall glass of cold water (or even better, a chilled glass of orange juice) can provide you relief from the headache. Moreover, a deep massage of the head, neck, and face can reduce the pain immediately. Aromatherapy, which involves inhaling some type of natural oils for example sandalwood, peppermint, eucalyptus, lavender scents, can be of great help to reduce or eradicate pain. These scents are available in soaps, candles, and oils. Exercises have the ability to enhance circulation and blood flow throughout the body, causing the brain to receive a more than adequate supply of oxygen and blood. Working out regularly should help in preventing headaches.

Standing in the shower and allowing the hot water to run down the neck and backside, is another natural remedy. It is thought that the hot water can relax the muscles, thus allowing the blood to flow easier and relieve pain. The aromatherapy soap, mentioned earlier, may be used with the hot water. At the opposite end is the ice pack. This can take the form of a pack of ice, a cold towel, or anything else that is extremely cold. The cold item must be placed on the pain area and allowed to remain for five or ten minutes. Besides numbing the pain a little, the procedure should help to minimize any inflammation.

If correctly done, the pressure-point process can produce excellent results. To perform the technique, firmly press the flesh area between your thumb and the index finger for a couple of minutes. Do that in short, 2 minute intervals for the best results. Certain substances in food stuffs can prompt a headache in a few individuals. When a headache begins, the foods eaten just before should be noted down. It could be helpful ifyou can keep a record of what you've been eating to find out if there is any sort of connection between your diet and headaches. Needless to say, food items that activate your headaches should not be consumed. Drinking orange juice is yet another remedy to eliminate headaches. It's a quick, simple, and extremely effective remedy.
